  • Store in an airtight glass container for about a week. Enjoy!

Notes

Storing
  • To store: Keep the homemade Nutella in a sealed jar at room temperature for up to 2 weeks. You can also keep it in the fridge, but it will begin to harden and lose its creaminess.
  • How to store raw hazelnuts: Prolong the life of your hazelnuts by storing them in an airtight container in the freezer for about 1 year. Make sure to place them in the freezer right after purchasing!
Frequently asked questions
  • Can this recipe be made using a different type of nut? Yes! Hazelnuts are easy to replace with all sorts of nuts. Macadamia, almonds, walnuts, and cashews are delicious alternatives.
  • Can you make crunchy hazelnut spread instead? Absolutely. Stir in finely chopped hazelnuts after blending the ingredients together.
  • Can you make homemade Nutella with white chocolate? To make white chocolate hazelnut spread, use melted white chocolate chips or wafers instead of dark chocolate.
