Coconut Granola with Hazelnuts

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups Old Fashioned Oats
  • ¾ cup Chopped Hazelnuts
  • ¼ cup Ground Flax Seed
  • ½ teaspoon Cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon Nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp Ground Cardamom
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ cup Coconut Oil melted
  • ¼ cup Honey
  • ½ cup Unsweetened Coconut

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°. 
  • Mix together all ingredients other than the unsweetened coconut in a large bowl.
    1 ½ cups Old Fashioned Oats , ¾ cup Chopped Hazelnuts , ¼ cup Ground Flax Seed , ½ teaspoon Cinnamon, ½ teaspoon Nutmeg, ¼ teaspoon Ground Cardamom, ½ teaspoon Salt, ¼ cup Coconut Oil , ¼ cup Honey
  • Spread on a parchment paper or silicone mat and bake for 15-17 minutes making sure to stir every five minutes or so until golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool. As the granola cools, it will continue to crisp up! Once cooled, stir in your unsweetened coconut flakes until combined.
    ½ cup Unsweetened Coconut
  • Store in an airtight container for a maximum of two weeks once cooled and enjoy!

How long does homemade coconut granola last?
Homemade granola will last for up to 2 weeks when stored in an airtight container at room temperature. Make sure the batch is completely cool before storing it away!
