Expert Tips
-
Invest in smart equipment like a funnel and a lidded squeeze bottle. As tasty as this lavender simple syrup is, it’s also super sticky and a pain to clean up. Keep it right where it belongs by using the right tools! You can add all your homemade simple syrups into these bottles!
-
Consider wrapping the lavender in a teabag or cheesecloth to make it easier to strain out. Of course, you can also use a mesh strainer — you’ll just have one extra dish to wash if you do.
How long is it good for? You’ll want to keep your honey simple syrup in the fridge to prevent it from growing mold. Most simple syrups will last upwards of 10 days in the fridge. If you’d like to extend the shelf-life, consider freezing it for up to 6 months.
