Ingredients

  • 5 slices Brioche Bread
  • ¼ cup Butter
  • ¼ cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Honey
  • Flaky sea salt

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350F and place aluminum foil on your baking sheet and/or a fitted rack from your baking sheet. Mix together the honey, brown sugar and butter together until homogenous.
¼ cup Butter, ¼ cup Brown Sugar, 2 Tablespoons Honey
  • Spread the mixture over each side of brioche, as well as on its crust sides so the whole slice is covered.
    5 slices Brioche Bread
  • Place the buttered brioche slice on the baking sheet and place in the oven for 16-20 minutes - make sure to watch your slices as they toast so they don’t get too toasted!
  • Remove from the oven, sprinkle with flaky sea salt if desired and enjoy!

 Expert Tips
  • Did you forget to leave your butter out to soften? Not to worry. You can get it to room temp right quick by microwaving it at 30% power for about 30 seconds. (Note that microwave power varies by wattage, so your time may be more or less. I use a 800-watt microwave.)
  • How should I store leftover honey butter and honey butter toast? Once you’ve mixed up the brown sugar honey butter, it should keep well in the fridge for up to a month, or in the freezer for up to 6 months. I personally think the honey butter toast is best straight from the oven, and since you can mix up the butter ahead of time, you may as well make it fresh to order. That said, if you have leftovers, they should keep well in an airtight container at room temp for about 1-2 days. Briefly reheat in a toaster oven before serving for the best results.
