Optional Variations
While I think my simple whipped goat cheese is perfect for most situations, there are plenty of ways to customize it to your liking. Here are a few variations to consider:
- Add Fruit. Berry preserves can be swirled into this soft cheese spread to make blueberry goat cheese, cranberry goat cheese (maybe add some cinnamon & ginger!), or blackberry goat cheese that would be delightful on your morning bagel or as a sweet addition to your cheese plate.
- Add Honey. Honey whipped goat cheese? Who wouldn’t want that?!?
- Fry It. After whipping the cheese into a uniform spread, reshape it into a log and chill until firm. Slice off rounds, then use a 3- stage standard breading (flour, egg, and breadcrumb) before pan frying to golden perfection. These melty medallions make for a lovely addition to any salad!
