- ½ teaspoon Cherry wood, for food smoker/smoking gun
- 2 oz Whiskey of choice
- 1 teaspoon Simple Syrup
- 3 dashes Angostura Bitters
- Orange twist or maraschino cherry , for garnish
- Ice
Instructions
- Add smoke using a smoking gun into your serving glass and cover with a dome or large glass to seal in the smoke or a smoking top - I use a smoking food gun with cherry wood for this stage!½ teaspoon Cherry wood
- Add bourbon, simple syrup & bitters into a mixing glass with ice. Using a bar spoon, stir gently for 30 seconds until the liquid is chilled.2 oz Whiskey of choice, 1 teaspoon Simple Syrup, 3 dashes Angostura Bitters, Ice
- Pour the old-fashioned into the smoked serving glass without ice & garnish. Again, add smoke into the glass, then cover. I like to add more smoke by lifting the dome or larger covering glass slightly and allowing the smoke to fill the covered container.
