    📖 Step by Step Instructions

Espresso being extracted into two glasses.

    1. Brew the Perfect Coffee: Prepare your espresso shots using an espresso machine. No machine? No worries! Strong coffee from a French press or moka pot works wonders too.

Pouring espresso into a glass with ice cubes on the counter.

    2. For an iced latte, fill a glass with ice cubes, add the espresso, and then pour in the cold almond milk. For a hot latte, pour the espresso into a tall glass or mug, followed by the warmed almond milk.

    💭 Recipe FAQs

Can I make an almond milk latte without an espresso machine?

Yes, you can! Strong brewed coffee from a French press, drip coffee maker, or even instant coffee powder can be used as a great substitute for espresso shots.

Is almond milk the only non-dairy milk I can use for a latte?

Not at all. Feel free to experiment with oat milk, soy milk, or coconut milk to find your preferred taste and texture.

How can I sweeten my almond milk latte without using sugar?

There are many alternatives to traditional sugar, including maple syrup, stevia, monk fruit sweetener, or even a dash of cinnamon for a subtle sweetness.

Can I still make a frothy latte without a milk frother?

Yes, you can achieve a frothy texture using a whisk, shaking it in a jar, or blending it briefly with an immersion blender. These methods can aerate the milk, creating a similar frothy effect.

    Expert Tips
    • Consider frothing the milk for a better, creamier mouthfeel. You can use a simple stick-style milk frother, a balloon whisk, or even just a mason jar with a tight-fitting lid so you can shake it to frothy perfection!
    • Use freshly brewed espresso for the best taste. Did you know that according to Starbucks rules, a shot of espresso is considered “expired” after less than a minute?? While I don’t expect you to hold the same time standards, you should definitely aim to get the java in your glass as quickly as possible.
    • Make extra vanilla syrup and store it in a squeeze bottle in the fridge so a tasty coffee drink is never far from reach.
